Cyprus MPs describe proposed property-title changes for displaced families

Cyprus Mail reports that lawmakers outlined a planned amendment allowing titles for some state-built homes outside designated housing estates. Committee chairman Nikos Kettiros said the bill would go to a future plenary session, and a separate ministry proposal would go to the cabinet. The report links the issue to housing for families displaced after 1974; it does not establish enacted changes or completed title transfers.

Kettiros and other committee members are the claimants for proposed solutions. The complete report was inspected, not the bill, cabinet submission, enacted text or individual title records. Its 'solution' framing does not mean parliamentary or cabinet approval, and no independent implementation evidence or material contrary account was located. Detailed eligibility, inheritance and ownership outcomes remain unresolved; this is not legal guidance. Time is publication minute, not committee or transfer time. The report explicitly identifies the historical housing population, but not every current beneficiary's identity; peoples remains empty.
