Shafaq reports that Iraq's Prime Minister's Media Office directed state institutions to file criminal complaints over media activity it characterises as incitement to violence or obstruction of state weapons-control decisions. The office also says expression and media freedoms remain protected. This reports the government's position, not a finding that anyone committed an offence or that the directive is legally valid.
