Cyprus finance official says bail-in reimbursement platform will reopen

Finance ministry permanent secretary Andreas Zachariades told MPs that the Solidarity Fund platform would reopen in the coming days for people who had applied after the 2013 bank bail-in but received no reimbursement, Cyprus Mail reports. He also described plans for a separate 2027 scheme. These are attributed plans, not confirmation that applications are open or that further payments have reached recipients.

Çavkanî çi diyar dikin

Andreas Zachariades is the claimant for the reopening and 2027 plans; Cyprus Mail reports his explanation to MPs. No independent verification of platform reopening, payment completion or the future scheme was established. No material disagreement about his stated plan was found; recipient representatives dispute the pace of reimbursement, not evidence that reopening has occurred.
