Shafaq's Jeddah report and dpa's separately produced match account, syndicated by AOL, agree that the opening Iraq–Oman game finished 1–1. Neither is presented as a statement by a team. The retained AP preview and Saudi federation programme support the tournament context, not the final score. No material disagreement on the completed result was found. Time is Shafaq's publication timestamp, not kickoff or the final whistle. This report makes no assessment of travel safety.
