OCHA estimates 1,790 households displaced by renewed Taiz fighting

UN OCHA estimated that 1,790 households had been displaced since September 3 by renewed fighting in Taiz governorate. Al Jazeera’s field reporting and AFP’s separate military, medical and security sourcing corroborate the renewed fighting and serious humanitarian impact. OCHA’s direct flash update estimates that 1,790 households were displaced from September 3 and documents communications and emergency-stock constraints; it does not revise AFP’s provisional aggregate tally of 129 deaths across the wider Taiz and Red Sea coastal fighting. The displayed time remains the first Al Jazeera report’s publication time. The map keeps a coarse governorate reference and omits front lines, force movements, routes, units, displacement sites and exact casualty locations.
