Iranian officials restate conditions for Hormuz deal, Reuters reports

Reuters relays Nournews quoting parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf as saying seven conditions in a June interim agreement must be met before Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi separately says Tehran's proposal could permit reopening within seven days if accepted. These are Iranian negotiating positions, not an agreed timetable or verified change in shipping access.

Qalibaf, quoted through Nournews, and Araqchi are the claimants for Iran's current conditions. Reuters reports their positions, not independent verification of agreement, implementation or shipping access. No separate corroboration of these latest statements or current US acceptance was inspected. Earlier Reuters and AP reports document Trump's September rejection, not a response to today's remarks. Negotiating prospects remain unresolved. The original September 23 publication timestamp is retained; the new source was published October 4 at 08:13:26 UTC.
