Mosul heritage official reports inventory of more than 500 properties, Shafaq says

Shafaq News quotes Nineveh heritage official Ali Salem saying more than 500 properties in Mosul's Old City have been documented or had their records updated. He says records will go to national authorities in stages for approval as part of the World Heritage nomination effort. UNESCO's page records a Tentative List submission in 2018; this is not a new World Heritage inscription or proof that all properties have formal designation.

ما تثبته المصادر

Ali Salem, head of the Nineveh inspectorate's Heritage Unit, supplies the tally and planned approval steps in Shafaq's interview. UNESCO independently documents the older Tentative List entry, not the new inventory's completeness or approval. No material disagreement was located; the tally and eventual designation remain unaudited. Enforcement and detention claims are excluded. Event time is Shafaq's publication timestamp rounded to the minute, not an inventory-completion time.
