AP and Shafaq report Iraq's new official dollar rates

AP and Shafaq News report an Iraqi cabinet decision changing the official dollar rates: 1,500 dinars for purchases from the Finance Ministry, 1,510 for sales to banks, and 1,520 for sales to end users. Shafaq compares the end-user rate with the previous 1,320. These are announced official rates, not a guarantee of dollar availability or a verified market price.

آنچه منابع نشان می‌دهند

The cabinet and Central Bank of Iraq are the institutional claimants. AP's independently produced report agrees with Shafaq on the 1,500 ministry and 1,520 consumer rates; Shafaq supplies the intermediate bank rate. Both describe an official announcement, not independently observed implementation. The original circular was not inspected. No material rate disagreement was found; access to currency and economic effects remain unverified. Time is Shafaq's UTC publication minute, not the October 6 cabinet meeting time. The rounded national coordinate is representative.
