Duhok mine-affairs official reports clearance progress, Shafaq says

A General Directorate of Mine Affairs official told Shafaq News that around 15% of one clearance project in Duhok governorate has been cleared and 26 mines or other explosive items removed so far. The figures are attributed to the directorate, not independently audited. Clearance is incomplete; this report is not an all-clear or a declaration that the area is safe.

آنچه منابع نشان می‌دهند

Riker Besfki, a media official for the General Directorate of Mine Affairs, is the claimant for the roughly 15% clearance figure and cumulative removal of 26 explosive items. Shafaq's interview is not independent verification of the directorate's measurements, remaining hazards or future completion. No competing measurement was established. The publication time is rounded to the minute; the cumulative work did not occur at one exact time. The rounded governorate marker is representative. The minefield name, district, exact site, current team location, today's individual removal and equipment details are intentionally omitted. Nothing in this signal authorises entry into a hazardous area. No community label or person's location is inferred.
