Abu Dhabi health official describes SEHHI menu labels, The National reports

The National reports that SEHHI marks identify qualifying dishes at hotel restaurants licensed by Abu Dhabi’s tourism authority, covering about 20 per cent of restaurants in the emirate. It quotes health official Ahmed AlKhazraji on the programme. The mark applies to individual dishes, not an entire menu. Reported menu requirements and coverage are not an independent compliance audit.

What the sources establish

Ahmed AlKhazraji is the interviewed official; The National reports the coverage estimate and says marked dishes have appeared since October 1. The public-health centre’s documents explain the programme, including its earlier launch, but do not independently audit the reported 20 per cent coverage or compliance. The underlying licensing notice was not inspected. This is new reporting about an existing programme, not a newly enacted November rule or proof of improved health outcomes. No material contrary account was established. The publication clock is rounded down to the minute; fractional source clocks are truncated to whole seconds.
