Eurostat reports Cyprus producer prices rose 2.6% in September

Eurostat’s November 5 release records Cyprus industrial producer prices rising 2.6% from August and 6.5% from September 2025. It revises August’s annual rise to 4.0%, from the earlier 4.2%. These are unadjusted domestic-market factory-gate prices, not household consumer inflation or proof of a particular cause.

What the sources establish

Eurostat is the statistical claimant. Its November 5 tables give Cyprus September changes of 2.6% monthly and 6.5% annually, and revise August’s annual figure to 4.0%; the earlier release carried 4.2%. The index measures ex-works domestic-market sale prices excluding imports and is not seasonally or calendar adjusted. National submissions were not independently audited and estimates can be revised. The new Cyprus Mail headline was a research lead, but direct access was denied; it is not used as evidence of the new figures or their cause. The retained October sources document the prior release, not independent statistical corroboration. Midnight UTC represents the new release’s November 5 publication date, not the September observation period or an exact publication clock. The unchanged rounded country marker is representative.

Corrections and updates

November 6 update: added Eurostat’s September figures under the existing producer-price ID and changed the time reference to the November 5 release date. Eurostat now gives August’s annual rise as 4.0%, replacing the previously reported 4.2%; the old release and dated history remain. September’s 2.6% monthly and 6.5% annual rises describe producer prices, not consumer inflation.

6 Nov 2026 04:25 UTC — Added September producer-price changes of 2.6% monthly and 6.5% annually; corrected the prior August annual figure from 4.2% to Eurostat’s revised 4.0%. Adopted the November 5 publication-date reference and retained all earlier sources and history.
