What the sources establish

Eurostat is the statistical publisher and claimant. Its November 6 release and country tables give Cyprus a 7.6% calendar-adjusted annual increase and a 0.7% calendar- and seasonally adjusted monthly increase for September 2026. The release identifies Cyprus as the largest annual increase among EU members with available data; this does not mean the largest monthly rise. The measures adjust retail turnover for price changes and can be revised. No independent audit or causal explanation is established, and no material disagreement was found in the inspected evidence. Midnight UTC represents the release date, not a known release hour or the September sales period.
